Wisp
A maze-chase game played in the dark: you are a mote of light collecting flux while four hunters close in.
The maze is generated fresh from a seed and lit only around you — walls are thin strokes of light, the flux glows, and the hunters' eyes are the only thing you see of them until they are close. Everything runs on a fixed clock in your browser; there is no server and no account.
The four hunters do not share one behaviour, which is what makes the genre work. One chases your position directly. One aims several cells ahead of where you are heading, to cut you off. One pincers by aiming through the first hunter. One mostly wanders but turns aggressive in bursts. Reach a power node and the hunt inverts for a few seconds — briefly, you are the threat. Same seed every day means everyone plays the same maze, and the daily board keeps a local high-score list.
